Hi All..

Just got a Asus rt-n53 for $12 from Newegg.
I set it up as a repeater.
Using Asus lastest Feb 2014 f/w.
With all my prior repeaters the wireless signal was cut in half.
But for some reason , this router is giving me full download & upload bandwidths.

Can this be?

Thxs

It's dual band. So, very likely, when the ASUS firmware is set in repeater mode, one radio acts in client mode and one in AP mode. Therefore, no cut to bandwidth.

My guess is that your other repeaters were set up on devices having only one radio (or, at least, using only one radio).
