I have 3 routers : A,B and C

A has access to the internet
A and B are within eachothers range . B has no access to the internet
B and C are within each others range. B and C have no access to the internet

I want for A and B and C : to be able to connect wireless devices

a device connected to B must get access to the internet via A
a device connected to C must get access to the internet via B and further to A

question is

In order to get this configuration to work and what is the best way to get this working. I am thinking of

= AP- bridging
= or WDS

What is the most stable and easiest way ?.
What solution has the best performance ?

any suggestions and items to pay attention to within the configuration ?

I have no problem having different SSID for each of the routers ( bridging) versus having the same if you use WDS

help is appreciated

Assuming routers are all single band radios...

A = default
B = repeater bridge
C = repeater bridge

SSID's on virtual interfaces of repeaters need to be unique.

I think so... especially given the bugginess of WDS. Read the first sentence of this:

Set router A in the typical default setup.

Follow the wiki for routers B and C.
When you get to step 6 of the wiki:
Router B Physical Interface SSID = same settings you have on Router A.
Router B Virtual Interface SSID = unique1
Router C Physical Interface SSID = unique1
Router B Virtual Interface SSID = unique2

The SSID's can be whatever you want so long as unique1, unique2, and the SSID of router A are all different.

It depends on the exact routers. See the wiki article on LINKING ROUTERS. Then follow the appropriate instructions. If you need assistance with respect to a particular router, and how to configure it, post in the appropriate forum for that router. See the first post in this forum.
