Did you clear your memory after the flash?

Yep, before and after. I didn't do the 30-30-30 hard reset though, instead I use the combination of erasing nvram through telnet and restore factory defaults through GUI.

Good enough

Installed on my RT-AC66U and everything is running smoothly.
NAS is working.
WDS is working.
Somehow FTP is not seeing the shared folder. Downgraded to 24200 and upgraded back to 25015 without resetting back to default seems to fix the problem.
Thx Kong.

Installed on my RT-AC66U from 24118 and everything is running smoothly. Did a reset (nvram erase) before and after. Minimum downtime = happy wife Razz

I just loaded and unloaded 25015 on my R6300. I had to return to 24200. My 5GHz radio would not function properly.

I use another router on 5GHz as a client bridge. It would not connect to 25015 while it had no problem with 24200 and the one immediately before it.

After I reloaded 24200 with a reset after reload option selected, then reloaded my saved settings, everything popped back to life normally.

I tried various reset and reboots with 25015 and had no success.

Following up on my previous post (quoted above)

I tried to load 25015 on my r6300v1 again. As before, the 5GHz radio would not work. My tablet connected for a couple of minutes, then dropped. My 5GHz client router could not connect. It has a client bridge mode so all I need for it to connect is a good 5GHz signal and the password. I do not need to make to adjustments on the R6300v1 to connect.

I tried some reboots and resets. Still, no success.

I reloaded 24200 and everything popped back to life, just like before. I won't reload 25015 without some kind of heads up that the problem is or can be fixed.

Not sure if you previously used OLDD build, if you did you might have used WEP encryption instead of WPA2/AES, in latest drivers old encryption modes are not supported anymore.

I have no problem with 5G on this build.

No. I use wpa2/aes and NEWD.

How can I fix this since it seems to work for you and I can't upgrade.

Thank you. I appreciate your hard and exceptional work.

Had to replace a computer a day or so ago...downloaded about 57GB from Carbonite over the last couple of days, and uploaded another 10GB there.

Still doing fine, no problems! I like this build so far.

Has anyone had issues trying to get your router to be a DHCP Server? I have to R7000 and tried this build and my router would not pass out the right IP addresses to my devices. Very frustrating. I would have to create Static IPs on devices for them to connect properly. I don't have time for that Rolling Eyes So any help on this matter would be helpful, thank you. Wink

Any chance that you have more than one device supplying addresses to clients? Like a modem/router that should be in bridge mode but isn't? Or some other device, like a misconfigured AP, handing out IP addresses? I've never had that problem, so I'm thinking that something odd might be going on with your LAN.

Just downloaded and installed the fw 25015 dated Sep. 17 on my Asus RT-N66U. Everything seems to be working pretty well, except for some inherited issues.
(Note:this N66U router has its WAN disabled and is running in pure AP mode.)
Firstly, after setup and reboot, I couldn't connect to wl0.1, even though its radio was on. Issuing the command "wl -i wl0.1 status" gave me a Mac address that is slightly different from the Mac obtained from Wireless>Basic Settings tab. In another word, it is showing E2:XX:XX:XX:XX:11 instead of E2:XX:XX:XX:XX:13. By clicking the Apply Settings button, the former Mac changed and matched the latter. And then I could connect to this wl0.1 intrface.
Secondly, the commands "startservice radio_off_0" and "startservice radio_on_0" are not working consistently either.
I've experienced both issues with previous fw (24200).

Having the same problem but on a R7000. After reboot cannot longer connect to wl0.1. Clicking on "Apply Settings", clients can connect again.

After reboot "wl -i wl0.1 status" returns:

SSID: ¾
BSSID: AB:CD:EF:GH:IJ:7C

and after "Apply Settings":

SSID: ò¾
BSSID: AB:CD:EF:GH:IJ:82

SSID looks also different characters.

Hi Guys, over six days stable on my Dlink Dir-868L, very happy with this build!
Kongs 25015M

I generally like to do a preventative weekly reboot, I'll leave it for 6 more days to be sure since it is hooked to a UPS Wink

You may be right. My Fios router is supposed to be in bridge mode. I'll have to take a look at that. Thanks.

Any advice on what one should set Regulatory Mode and TPC Mitigation Factor to in Germany?

a google search will reveal that you should leave those 2 fields blank unless you know specifically need to set them to something other than default.
Since you don't, then don't touch them.

You were spot on! Thanks! Sometimes it just takes someone else to see your own mistakes. Appreciate it! Cool
