I have a Buffalo WZR-600DHP. I was running v24 PreSP2[Beta] Build 21061. It was working fine. I wanted to try OpenWRT, and tried updating via WebFlash, and it failed, breaking nothing. So I read that I can use the web GUI to issue commands. I ran
"wget -P /tmp http://downloads.openwrt.org/attitude_adjustment/12.09/ar71xx/generic/openwrt-ar71xx-generic-wzr-hp-ag300h-squashfs-factory.bin"

Then
"mtd -r write /tmp/openwrt-ar71xx-generic-wzr-hp-ag300h-squashfs-factory.bin linux"

I now realized that the firmware was for the wrong model.

It returned a bunch of "y"s and now my router's diag light flashes twice every several seconds. I tried TFTP recovery, but it isn't working. I don't get any ping responses either. I followed all of the directions in the peacock thread (up to and including 6i). After doing some reading I figured out that the TFTP server may have been overwritten with my using the mtd command.

What can I do to recover my router? Thank you for your help! Let me know if I can provide any other information.

You will probably need to recover it using a serial connection.

I will try doing that. I need to get my hands on a T8 torx drive and some cables first. Thank you. I'll let you know if it works. It may be a while...
