So i made a series of mistakes, first i upgraded to 06-23-2014-r24461 firmware before reading about the bug.

And then, when downgrading from web interface failed i ran following command over ssh:

mtd -r write tl-wdr3600-webflash.bin linux

I haven't been able to access the router since then, wifi leds aren't turned on, i cant ping to 192.168.1.1.

Does anyone here has any idea how i can regain access?

I'm far from an expert, but maybe you should tell us (to help someone more capable of helping you, at the very least...):
- Did you try a 30-30-30 (pressing the correct button, as I failed to do at first when I messed up my router )?
- Did you connect via cable?
- What about the other leds? Does it look like it's connected to the internet?

I have tried the 30/30/30 reset it didnt help, only the power led is turned on. Wifi/WPS/USB leds stay turned off except for a second at boot, the lan ports (switch) work though.

Currently trying to see if it can boot into TFTP client mode by holding reset button at boot.


Update: Can't get the device to TFTP recovery looks like using a serial connection is my only option now.

don't ping 192.168.1.1 ping 10.0.0.1 make sure ftp is enabled all WDRxxxx routers default is 10.0.0.1

There is no response from 10.0.0.1 either, i also looked for any ARP packets coming from the router but there are none.

Besides WIFI,WDS & USB LEDs stay off no matter how many times i try a 30/30/30 reset or hold the reset button while booting.

I dont have a USB-UART at the moment, ordered one from ebay but i won't have it till next week.

PS: If it helps at al, the LAN/WAN led only lights up when connected to gigabit nics not on 10/100m nics

Same mistake with me. I regret not searching for bricked wdr3600 before executing the command..
