Long time lurker & 1st time poster on this forum.

I have couple of issues with the following setup :

WZR-HP-AG300H and a TeleWell TW-LTE/4G/3G USB modem.

The modem is based on the ZTE MF821 model, and has storage. Problem is the router does not see it properly, thus no connection to be made I assume.

The router runs Buffalo pro dd-wrt 19154.

The driver for this modem model is probably missing, although I see there been other updates in the custom dd-wrt firmware to handle other OEM versions of the MF821. Based on other posts in this forum been trying to find out if there is any command seuquence I can give in Command Shell to align the modem w. router or vv?

2nd problem is that I tried to flash to the WZR-600DHP Buffalo pro dd-wrt 20180b as it is newer, hoping it might support the USB better. However, it refused to flash, either webgui or TFTP. Even if it would flash, the dongle might still not be accepted?

Any help is appreciated.

Here the dmesg and /bus/usb/devices :

This is an atheros router. This belongs on that sub-forum.

ah yes, Atheros it is, please move this topic.
EDIT:
This is an EU region WZR. Managed to solve the tftp issue by installing an older
firmware, -16xxx from Buffalo EU site.

The USB modem issue remains, seem to load some generic sierra usb driver, cannot
connect to network over 2/3/4G.

I apologize for bumping.
Currently using dd-wrt 24461 in this unit.
The above mentioned 4G modem still not detected correctly.
Any help to install this or info about if this will be included in future release of dd-wrt much appreciated.

F.y.i. This modem works perfectly fine in a TP-Link MR-3420 v2 with its stock firmware.
