hi Folks
Tried searching quite a bit but to no avail. Supported routers page says this isnt supported. Can anyone definitively say whether MR_3220_v2 is supported for DD-WRT and if yes which ROM.

thanks in advance.

Hi Sash
Could you please help with with the bin file. I searched everywhere but couldnt get the one you mentioned. Wouldnt want to risk bricking my router though it is a cheap one.
Also I dont need USB support and WAN support should do.

Also if i install, could i go back to TP-Link firmware or is that impossible.
Apologies again if my question sounds novice like. I hope to hop onto the bandwagon and start experimenting.
thanks in advance

Hello
As LOM said on that post, the model TP-LINK TL-WR741ND v4 has the same hardware as the TP-LINK TL-MR3220 v2 except the USB port.

TPLink TL-WR741ND v4 ( https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr741nd ) :
SoC: Atheros AR9331
CPU: 400 MHz
RAM: 32 MB
FLASH: 4 MB
NETWORK: 1 WAN + 4x LAN (100 Mbit)
WIRELESS: AR9331 [bgn]

TL-MR3220 v2 ( https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-mr3420 ) :
SoC: Atheros AR9331
CPU: 400 MHz
RAM: 32 MB
FLASH: 4 MB
NETWORK: 1 WAN + 4x LAN (100 Mbit)
WIRELESS: AR9331 [bgn]

Would it be possible to get a modified dd-wrt version of TL-WR741NDv4 to install it on the model TL-MR3220v2?
Thank you

here are a couple of variants for MR3220v2, any of them should work:
- one obtained from MR3020v1 build 29134
- one obtained from WR710Nv2 build 29134

Hello GreyDoc!
I just installed the "factory-to-ddwrt_MR3220v2 (WR710Nv2).bin"... and everything is working properly.
Thank you! Very Happy

In the case of having to return the TL-MR3220v2 to the original firmware, Can I use the "wr710nv2_webrevert.rar" or the "mr3020nv1_webrevert.rar" ?
or it is necessary to have an specific modified version of webrevert for the MR3220v2?
Thanks!

At the moment I'm going to use DD-WRT, but probably, in a future, I will need to return to the original firmware.
Would it be possible to get a mr3220v2 webrevert version?
Thanks for you time GreyDoc Smile

I understand you are using the WR710Nv2 based build MR3220v2(WR710Nv2).bin from http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1010120#1010120

from your current build, you can try to flash
the MR3020v1 webflash file ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2016/03-07-2016-r29218/tplink_tl-mr3020/tl-MR3020-webflash.bin
or WR741NDv4 webflash file ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2016/03-07-2016-r29218/tplink_tl-wr741ndv4/tl-wr741ndv4-webflash.bin
or WR743NDv2 webflash file ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2016/03-07-2016-r29218/tplink_tl-wr743ndv2/tl-wr743ndv2-webflash.bin

try each of them, but make sure to reset + manually configure every time after you flash. verify if eth1 and eth0 are correctly assigned in each case.

if you want you can go back to the WR710Nv2 build by flashing ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2016/03-07-2016-r29218/tplink_tl-wr710nv2/tl-wr710v2-webflash.bin

I installed "factory-to-ddwrt_MR3220v2 (WR710Nv2).bin" in my MR3220v2.4 and tried to revert back to stock with "wr710nv2_webrevert.bin". Now i cannot access the router via web ui. Ping says "router unreachable". Please help.
