Hi experts,

I am using Fractal r20363 firmware in my RT-N66U, and I was wondering if it is worth to dedicate time to try to backport driver cdc_ncm (Network Control Model Device USB Class Specification) which appeared since kernel 2.6.38 and that is needed for some broadband mobile such as my Vodafone R205 (which is likely a rebranded Huawei E585 or E586).

I have already tested the R205 with kernel 3.6.11 under Arch linux and it works fine. On the DD-WRT I am getting the following error which I think is because of the missing driver cdc_ncm:

Code:

root@DD-WRT:/jffs/tmp# usb_modeswitch -v 0x12d1 -p 0x155a -I -W -M 55534243123456780000000000000011062000000100000000000000000000
Taking all parameters from the command line

 * usb_modeswitch: handle USB devices with multiple modes
 * Version 1.2.4 (C) Josua Dietze 2012
 * Based on libusb0 (0.1.12 and above)

The prodID changed but the wwan0 interface has not been created....

Any thoughts or advices?

Thanks!
