This is old crappy Ralink hardware - will never get dd-wrt support.

Rather harsh and rude response, methinks... I've had this "old crappy Ralink hardware" for over 7 years and was hoping to keep it alive by playing a bit with it. It has been the workhorse around my home (granted, it has issues) for all this time. You know there is some value in trying to learn something by tinkering with stuff and then backhanding a newbie with a derisive comment about their "crappy" hardware is not very nice.

Sorry for not realising that you have such a close relationship with your router that you would get offended when I called the spade a spade.

I'm going to breathe life back into this thread as it contains what little info there is here on this Encore ENHWI-N router. It is a nice router with nice antennas and hardware so I want to see if I can get it set up to use as a bridge.

I believe I see a Ralink chip and if anyone has any suggestions for getting a DD-WRT flash on this I'd appreciate it.

The router database does not have this particular Encore router listed, the details from the label on it are:

802.11n Wireless Router
Model Number: ENHWI-N
FCC ID: NOI-W443
Bar code: 50078030700131

There are specs and other details here:

http://www.encore-usa.com/us/product/ENHWI-N

And a user manual and a data sheet can be downloaded at these links:

http://www.encore-usa.com/us/sites/default/files/product_documents/ENHWI-N_Manual.pdf

http://www.encore-usa.com/us/sites/default/files/product_file_datasheet/ENHWI-N_spec_0.pdf

Got it at Goodwill for $2.00, like new in the box and with the AC/DC adapter. It deserves a better life!

Thanks for any help,

Jack
