Why channels 1 & 11 don't go up to 20 dBm? Is it a reg domain issue?
I recall a conversation with a product manager at a Wi-Fi router manufacturer and being told that the "edge" channels tend to perform more slowly because they can't broadcast at full strength. He was telling me at his house he runs channels 2 and 10 for this very reason.
So, yes, a reg domain issue of sorts, but I believe one that is shared across all reg domains.
Well my problem is that i have a Chinese tablet that is kind of picky and performs optimally on channel 1.
i dont really think its reg domain to blame, i heard of the edge channel thing as well but not all radios follow it, my tl-wdr4900 but only on channel 1 with 24dbm instead of 25dbm, wndr3700 v1 doesnt care & stays at 17dbm for all, wndr3700 v4 though is 22dbm on 1 & 11, & dir-825 b1 stays at 19dbm for all, all using the same reg domain & same build..
i think its something to do with eeprom lock that the manufacturer put in but there is supposedly a way around it with editing regulatory.bin or crda something but its a confusing mess, would be nice if that can just be included in the fw..a radio locked at 17dbm (wndr3700v1) being able to xmit at 22dbm with its 3dbi antennas, isnt even close to illegal in my country anyway..

Does anyone know if the mac filtering was fixed in this version?
Or does it break wifi when it's enabled (wifi radio turns off if you try and use filtering) like in: r25143

Router still does not have 2.4GHZ wireless. The past few releases have not had wireless for 2.4GHZ. Do not understand why this option was removed? It was in previous releses after all working.
Maybe wait for other advices then:
If it seems really bricked: try this
1) with tftp try to flash the ddwrt you want
2) with tftp try to flash the manufacturer firmware _________________ ): FoReVeR nEwB
Newest dd wrt version - 10-29-2014-r25203 is not working on TP link 740n V4.23. When i trying update firware, few seconds later error comes up ( failed update).
Router Model: Rosewill RNX-N300RT (FW ids as TP-Link TL-WR841ND v7)
Status: Ok
Reset: Reset to defaults
Errors: None so far
Upgraded from one of the builds at the beginning of the summer. Seems to be working better. Wifi is connected at a faster rate and hasn't dropped out yet.
I can't connect to the device, it's continiously restarting
Did you read the wiki about tftp flashing? Direct link Eth is suggested, but when tried I preferred to insert a switch to prevent the link-down link-up delay to prevent me sending the "put" command in the small window time allowed.
[EDIT] I have not this model, so check the wiki/forum for your particular model. _________________ ): FoReVeR nEwB
