I had the same issue from 24461. Try updating from a different browser or from a wifi connected computer. At least from an android/chrome browser connected to the router; that is what I needed to do for it to take from 24461.
From 25179 was uneventful.

Web upgrade from 25203. Cannot access webgui. After telnet to the router and reboot, everything is back to normal. _________________ Buffalo WBMR-HP-G300H

Same issue as last build, I went over top r23919 and all appeared to be OK but several settings didn’t carry over. The Time Settings\Time Zone settings did not carry over nor did my Wireless Channel Width and Wireless Security settings. those are just the ones I noticed right away, could be more... Even after changed my wireless settings back I never achieved full wireless speed. I have a 50/50 symmetrical connection and at best I was getting 3/37 over the wireless but wired speeds were good to go. This just supports the reason why the best practice is to do a reset and “clean install”. In the meantime rolled back to other router with r23919, I will attempt a fresh install later once I record my custom settings so I could re-enter them manually. Other than that looked like a promising build.

there is no "fresh install" just erase nvram from telnet or restore factory defaults from gui, DO NOT restore from an nvram backup _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

+1
router also is obsolete and will no longer be supported the chipset has already been flagged as a failed unreliable chipset under very heaving traffic over wifi. i hate repeating myself and would like to address the following link for your amusement on the infamous ath9k post on this router http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=154488&start=15
ps: i own 3 of these routers and have thoroughly tested it in a number of ways
