Hi There,

This is my first post after years lurking the forums.

Usually I find the necessary knowledge to carry out my duties but I have been hours looking for the non STD or the STD Nokaid firmware for the tplink 3600 so I can enable jffs. Any one has any ideas.

Regards,

Zak

Hmm, then how may I block ads using this router?

I am running Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r28054M std (10/30/15)

I tried both set ups on http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Ad_blocking

None of them block a single ad. The first one I tried 2 versions, the one on the site and this one: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=982845

The second one doesn't create the cronjob. Ram usage doesn't change so I am guessing it isn't working.

Jffs is not supported at all? not even through usb?

Thanks for the swift reply

Hi Tatsuya,

That's installed whenever possible (ublock origin). The problem being the android devices, playstation and the not-so-smart tv when it comes to browsing or watching youtube. Mostly youtube as I watch a lot of documentaries of over 1 hour and I have to digest freaking 5 to 6 ads and is very very annoying.

Hi H8red,

I have tried your script adding it to startup and firewall as few post above yours mentions.

I have added the extra command in dnsmask and I can see the file dlhost populated in /tmp/dlhosts but it doesn't seem to be blocking anything.

Dns sets to use the routers ones and the router is pointing to opendns. Youtube ads still poping up and in all the other websites too.

Can you point me in the right direction?

Alright so it does seem to work but I run into a problem.

I have a dhcp lease in the 192.168.1.128/25 range (not the best range I know) to control my partner youtube addiction while I play games as in the evening the internet speeds drops considerably.

Going through the settings on tmp folder I came across this on the dnsmasq.conf: dhcp-range=br0,192.168.1.129,192.168.1.178,255.255.255.0,1440m

Does that mean that all static ip addresses (192.168.1.80 for argument's sake) fall outside the range and therefore are not masqued????

Regards

Zak
