so i SSHed into my router make a mnt folder on my usb in the /jffs folder
bound that folder to /mnt
made a folder in /mnt
created a proftp share via the webUI in the /mnt folder
attempted to login to teh ftp share using FireFTP
transferred a file to my share
checked the usb in /mnt
no such file exist anywhere on flash drive
however it clearly showed up in the ftp server

i am thinking about putting a usb hdd on my router, i figured i would test it with my usb 1st

i rebooted my router and removed my usb to check it on my desktop in disbelief just to be sure

so where would it have put my test file?

ok i figured out my issue
this is default
/mnt -> /tmp/mnt
i made this mount
/mnt -> /jffs/mnt
figure this will make a issue as ddwrt may have some stuff using /tmp/mnt instead of /mnt
so instead i will do this
/tmp/mnt -> /jffs/mnt

my file was in this place
/tmp/proftpd/users/$USER/$SHARE_NAME
