Same effect as with r25309 and r25408.
On DIR-615 rev. H, r25279, it seems to upgrade just for few seconds. After reboot you find the previous FW-Information.

Try to first downgrade from 25279 to 23503 (or to 25251, or one that you tested to work previously) and from that one flash the latest 25527.
Maybe there is a problem with 25279, so it doesn't allow to update to anything newer...
r25527 installs ok, reset problems like before (00:11:22:33:44:57 MAC on LAN/WLAN makes system hang when changing configuration) if this MAC is removed on bridge configuration, no further problems for me so far. SES button still no effect on wifi interface (DIR-600b2 gpio poll 0 pressed 00).
@KrypteX
According to your recommendations I first downgraded to r23503 then upgraded to r25544; after reboot r23503 always was on the router. Same result when I directly tried to upgrade from r 25279 to r25544.

This is really strange...
Considering that DIR-615 H1 and D2 have the same processor, chip, etc (basically the same), 25279 is the last one to work OK on H1 (as you say) and 25179 is the last OK for D2. I can't find a reasonable explanation to this seemingly different behavior.
