The installation worked fine, no issues with a Linksys WRT610N v2.
Installed K3.x build 25544, SHA-1: D569'615D'9C4B'8995'7D5A'BB02'7309'1FCF'C695'312C
I haven't tested any special features yet.
No issues with MAC address.

does this work ?
wow, that's convoluted. I'll stay with my previous working firmware 25179 on the DIR-615 D2.

Where would be the best place to report the bug and this workaround?
... in the tickets section, here:
http://svn.dd-wrt.com/newticket
Make sure to explain the bug thoroughly, with as many details as possible, otherwise it will be closed/discarded.
Maybe a hard reset 30/30/30 is better.
it seems, that ifconfig ra0 down (WLAN down) is not neccessary.
It's really difficult to describe this issue.
I tried to remain with the 00:11:22:33:44:57, but the router doesn't come up after a cold start. the dhcpd gives out the ips , but that's maybe, because all there is done via broadcast. Even though the physical LAN MAC on bridge Root MAC really prevents the hang.
With fw 25203 the feature to modify the ROOT MAC was added to 'Create Bridge'.
Ever since then the 'smartbricked' problem accrued in every new release. (I think I tested all of them)
I added the information to the open ticket.
Lets hope it will be fixed soon. _________________ Linksys WRT54GL v.1.1

Sorry if it´s a dumb repetitive annoying question but is there anywhere I can find a changelog? (I am actually on the 24461 version and would like to know what the changes are from there).
