Status: not okay
Reset: no
Errors: one
Previous version: r25309
Netgear WNDR4300 r25697 connected to Netgear WNDR3700v4 r25303 via WAN to LAN. WNDR4300 configured in gateway mode and LAN IP configured for 192.168.1.x network. Wan IP statically assigned 192.168.0.x network as which WNDR3700v4 is also on 192.168.0.x network and provides internet. Firewall rules to allow wan and to NAT traffic on WNDR4300 . Block anon WAN PING not checked as well.
Devices connected on WNDR4300 r25697 network have connectivity but very slow:
packet loss in a cascade / WAN to LAN configuration on the WNDR4300. If I pinged any host only reachable via next hop (i.e. devices connected to WNDR3700v4 wired/wireless), any internet domain address/ip, or WNDR4300 gateway 192.168.0.x ip--basically anything that would go out the WAN port on WNDR4300-- I would get 20%-40% packet loss. I reverted to build r25309 and no problems-- same settings either build. After I noticed the problem, I literately downgraded the build, double-checked that still same settings, and no longer had the WAN packet loss issues. I haven't tried builds between 25309 and 25697 yet.
Status: Not ok
Reset: yes
Errors: After 4 days all units stopped broacasting wifi and could not be accessed bay cable. A reboot brought them back to life. Reverted back to 25309, the last one stable for them.
Has anyone opened a ticket for this error yet?

Not that I know of. Anyhow, this build 25697 is toast. There's already a newer one 25760, maybe try that ?
I'm still on 25648, working OK for me. _________________ THERE ARE NO STRANGERS HERE; ONLY FRIENDS YOU HAVEN'T YET MET.

I am testing a very big file transfer locally from PC to samba share on USB key and I notice that the WLN speed is not constant but it jumps from zero to 40 Mbps over and over.
Is it normal? It doesn't look very stable (see attach)
I don't see those big jumps on any build, but I use ftp server, not samba, to share the USB content. _________________ THERE ARE NO STRANGERS HERE; ONLY FRIENDS YOU HAVEN'T YET MET.

5GHz WiFi does not work when set to german region and higher than 20MHz bandwith. Set to canada region and set a fixed channel to get VHT 80+80 channels.

for the most part its ok, when i added some port forwards it broke connection to the cable modem more or less until i removed the forwarded ports and rebooted both the modem and the router.
wireless is pretty well fantastic with it
wired seems to drop on occasion...something i have NEVER experienced with a ddwrt build so far...will downgrade build for a bit and come back to check on it unless you guys know how i can work around the occasional wired connection drop and the port forwards issue...im def open to ideas
and to be clear i love ddwrt and am not trying to be overly critical and i admit my knowledge of this stuff is a little weak due to lack of work in the field for the last 7 years but i know it will all get resolved one way or another, thanks for the good work guys
I haven't updated since early 2013 and noticed a minor change. TCP Congestion Control defaults now to Westwood instead of Vegas. Just an observation...
One thing I have now noticed. I'm no longer able to connect to the wifi network with our Apple TV. Rebooted the Apple TV several times....it's like it's trying but it gets hung.
Uptime a couple weeks and today wireless throughput to the internet was terrible. 1-2mb up and down. Tried changing channels and extension channel. No change. Did a soft reboot of the router and things are back to normal. Did not do a local wifi throughput test.
Router Model: TP-Link TL-WR841N v9.2
Status: BAD
Reset: No
Errors:
- Can't activate logs (when i switch on the log option and apply settings, it switches off automatically o_o)
- Sometimes it loses contact with the gateway and doesn't give an ip address
router: Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH ( v1 )
reset yes
Flashed via recovery. Flash via dd-wrt web upgrade did not work.
Most functions seem to work fine.
PPTP vpn works fine
SSH works fine
Odly it seems that some changes to the configuration requires the router to reboot and when it does this soft reboot it gets hung up very often ( so dont do what i do where i will tweak settings from work and shut down the internet on my wife. )
I cant seem to get my NAS to work now which had worked with previous builds.
