With this build I was able to fully do a manual configure after erase nvram but I wasn't able to connect to IPVanish via OpenVPN Client... back to working build 30700.

UPDATE: Build 30815 up and running on two R7000s :)

x2 of these as AP on 2 bands with 2 SSID per radio, 10-20 clients per device, usb printer, storage, ssh, telnet demons: fast wireless, strong signal, fast client connect, no client drops, gui accessible quickly and consistently

no problems with this build for me. (30800 would have crapped out by now)

Upgraded from R30800 to this build. Router becomes unresponsive after a few hours. Have to toggle power. Same thing as last build (R30800). Same settings worked fine on kong R30700. Here's some log output. Rolling back to kong R30700.

You are out of memory, but this info does not show the cause. Anyways you are running apps, that are not part of the firmware and not in my repo, thus most likely compiled with an incompatible toolchain, therefore instability is guaranteed.

So I went to IPVanish's support site to double check their DDWRT OpenVPN configuration that is dated and compared it Tomato. I now have the following 'Addition Config'...

This is just FYI, but anyway, my R7000 has no VPN errors in 30700M, 30800M or 30815M with its OpenVPN Client and PrivateInternetAccess (PIA) high security VPN configuration:
4096bit RSA server certificate, 4096bit Diffie-Helman key exchange, AES-256-CBC, SHA256 and TLS v1.0-1.2.

Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r30815M kongac (10/30/16)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.25 #136 SMP Sun Oct 30 22:41:33 CET 2016 armv7l
Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r30800M kongac (10/27/16)

QoS enabled is no longer causing router to reboot, as was the issue with 30800.

There has also been a noticable improvement in download speed with QoS.

Actually, tested it a bit more and I'm hitting close to 150Mbps. Something really did change here for the better.

Thanks <Kong>. I'm running one extra server program off usbflash drive. I'll mess with it, it have different compiled types I can use, such as glibc, musl, static, uclib. And then under those, armv4el, armv5el, armv7el, etc. I'll check with the dev of that program too. It appears I SHOULD be using a version compiled for armv7el since R7000 is ARM Cortex-A9 (ARMv7-A). For whatever reason, I am running a armv5el version. I'll change things around, and also test without running the program at all.

Did something change, between 30700-->30800 I guess, that would affect the types of programs run? I've run the program for quite a while now.

Router: NETGEAR R8500
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r30815M kongac (10/30/16)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.25 #136 SMP Sun Oct 30 22:41:33 CET 2016 armv7l
Status: OK, even QoS works
Reset: No. Just upgraded with 'ddup --flash-latest'
Errors: None so far.

I only have 2.5 hours of uptime with this build, but an over-the-top upgrade with QoS enabled is running just fine so far.

Well I figured I would try a few of KongAC firmwares to see if they would have the advanced routing not being applied fixed. While I am not surprised I just wanting to give it a try.

Other than that, I updated via the web gui without any problems. Seems stable so far, but BS version seems stable as well. Just the lingering little issues that seem to go without a fix.

Some with proftp enabled and smb enabled. Mixed ISP from Timewarner cable, Cox Cable and AT&T Uverse.
