I am in need of help/advice on how to recover my router . . .
I was running stock firmware for a number of years and out of the blue, the router quit functioning and presented a solid-orange power led. I've connected my USB-TTL adapter to the serial header and can observe the boot process.
The boot process can be stopped to obtain a CFE prompt.
the following is what I see when I let the router boot up as far as it will go....

This is not right:
size: 4085 bytes (61451 left)
So.. erase nvram, reboot, and reconfig. _________________[Moderator Deleted]

Reconfig means reconfigure your router, ie your settings. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.

I would expect to see more "echo's" of the boot-up process but nothing beyond what I've copied and pasted here...

He means.. access your router via your browser (192.168.1.1) and reconfigure it as needed. _________________[Moderator Deleted]

After you stop the cfe, get a tftp program ready with the stock firmware in it, I use tftp2.exe
At the cfe prompt type tftpd, then hit upload on the tftp program. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.
