Please don't make affirmations that are not correct regarding Ralink's broadcasted WiFi. You create even more confusion.
I suggest to carefully read Ticket 3880, in my comment no. 2 I said that InSSIDer does NOT detect HT40 channels correctly !
http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/3880#comment:2
I urge everyone to use other software to detect the HT40 network channels, such as "Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector" or "Acrylic Wi-Fi Free". Both give correct results, but InSSIDer is WRONG !
In your particular case InSSIDer detects Channels 9+13, but in fact the broadcasted ones are 9+5. If you don't believe me, check with Xirrus, for example. And yes, 9+Upper should indeed broadcast 9+13, but it is NOT like that on Ralink routers (Atheros broadcasts correctly).
That's what BrainSlayer is trying to fix in ticket 3880. So please, again, make sure to use a proper software for WiFi channel detection and double check on several settings before posting anything related to this.
It's been already a lot of confusion regarding this topic and I'm trying to clearly present it in the Tickets section. Maybe we'll finally get a proper fix.
FYI, this latest build 25934 did bring some changes via fixes http://svn.dd-wrt.com/changeset/25813 and http://svn.dd-wrt.com/changeset/25815, but still not correct.
I'm still testing all Channel combinations and will post an update in Ticket 3880 regarding this issue, so please wait until I'm finished with that. Thanks ! _________________ THERE ARE NO STRANGERS HERE; ONLY FRIENDS YOU HAVEN'T YET MET.

Hallo KrypteX,
sorry up to now I used inSSIDer for checking wifi channels on Win7 and trusted in that software and iwScanner on Linux.
But I think you're right (I don't like to confuse anybody; thx for your assistance):
DIR-615 rev. H, repeater bridge, dd-wrt FW, set to CH9, upper, HT40
DIR-615 rev. B2, router, DLink FW., set to CH9, auto 20/40MHz
- inSSIDer returns CH9+CH13
- Acrylic returns CH9+CH5
DIR-615 rev. H, repeater bridge, dd-wrt FW, set to CH13, lower, HT40
DIR-615 rev. B2, router, DLink FW., set to CH13, auto 20/40MHz
- inSSIDer returns only CH13
- Acrylic returns CH13+CH9
iwScanner always only feeds back the main channel 9 respectivly 13 (no help at all).
ervau
- DIR-615 rev. H2
- upgrade from r25760 to r25934
- w/o 30/30/30 or reset to factory defaults
- restored previous settings
- no problems, except "Disable Wireless GUI access" still isn't working
I had downloaded and flashed this build before it was removed from the server, but as long as i don't encounter any problems i'll keep it running until the next build. _________________ Asus RT-AC87U
