[EDIT] Just updated Atheros to 26476 build still working fine. I use mine units as ftp servers.
BTW...I've been successfully running these units as ftp servers for several years with no issues except a few issues in the 21xxx builds...at that time I was only running a single RT-N16 unit... and Kong's build of 22000++ took care of my issues...later in the 23xxx builds I switched back to k3.x of the BS builds.

I have tp-link archer c7 v2 with firmware 26446. I follow wiki guide to setup ses button to remove usb drive but it won't work. can someone help me on that?
I was able to setup my 4TB usb3 Seagate Backup + to a Netgear WNDR4500 v1 (N900) Router with DD-WRT (Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r28211 giga (11/16/15)).
I connect to it from my PC and mounted this as a network drive (Windows 10).
Question: Is the drive always spinning when connected to my router to make it a NAS?
Can it be configured to standby/sleep when not in use?

Thank you,

At the NSLU2 forum Ernst J. Oud suggests that spin-down only works with certain drive enclosures. Other than that, have a look at this thread. That was the best I could find... [For the record, I never used a spinning drive--just a flash drive.] _________________ WRT54GSv.4: DD-WRT v.24-sp2 (build 14929)

I have no idea, but it sounds like a bug. You might want to open a new topic/thread as you'll probably get help for your specific issue that way. Hope you get it sorted! _________________ WRT54GSv.4: DD-WRT v.24-sp2 (build 14929)

Well I started fooling with file formats and landed on NTFS because that's the only one that would update.
Now my problem is trying to install my owncloud service. I have been trying to use kong's tips but that's not getting my anywhere.
I'm assuming the new firmwares can run Pydio, owncloud, Seafile, etc... right?
If so, would anyone know of a tutorial to follow? I can't find anything about installing any of those on a DDWRT router.
I have a Linksys WRT 1900AC router, running firmware DD-WRT v3.0-r29300M kongmv. For a year now, I've been using a USB3 NTFS-formatted 1 TB drive. Works great, but slowly because of NTFS formatting. I wanted to see if I could improve access speed with a drive formatted in ext3, so I formatted a newer 3 TB drive that way, and successfully set it up with my router. I've been able to find and read the drive on my Win 10 computer, but for some reason the drive is read only and is denying me access to write, delete, etc. Access in NAS tab in DD-WRT is set to "read-write", but still no luck. Not sure if the problem has to do with the way the drive was formatted (in EaseUS Partion Master 12.5) or with some setting in DD-WRT, but when I reattach the old NTFS drive, everything works fine. Can anyone help me figure out how to make this writable?
