What is the difference between the .bin file and the .img file found here? Do they essentially do the same thing?

.img for stock fw -> ddwrt, webflash for ddwrt -> ddwrt.

use the r23508 .img first from the stock (the rest are too big & fail to transfer before netgears stupid timeout) then use the webflash of the latest build (ftp link in sig, ignore router db!)
