So it seems that whatever browser and/or image i use, the upgrade process doesnt seem to successfully complete...
Every time i do it this way, my router after first reboot, boot loops after LAN leds initialize...
Only way to get back to working mode, is to go into D-Link Recovery Mode
and then,
1. flash factory d-link image
2. flash factory to dd-wrt
then,
telnet and wget the latest updated image and flash it.
anyone else experiencing the same thing?
That's crazy. Skip all that mess and go straight to recovery flash with factory-to-ddwrt.bin. You don't need to flash the factory firmware first, or use the wget and telnet method. The factory-to-ddwrt bin IS the dd-wrt build. It's just in a package the DLink recovery environment can use. If you use the factory-to-ddwrt file in the current build folder then you're done. I use a laptop with win7 and ie 8.
I didn't even attempt console or web upgrade for the 1/20/15 build... I just downloaded the factory-to-ddwrt bin and used the dlink firmware recovery environment.
I also have the Dlink Dir-825 rev b
I believe I will be waiting a few builds before trying webflash again.

it should be fixed with the next build, as in once the next build is on everyones routers, THEN flashing after that cause the broken builds that people have currently, still have to get off their routers first.
its been fixed for me since r25993 (timeline is at r26080 now) _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)
