I resently purchased a used D-Link DIR-632a router from a friend with DD-WRT pre-installed. I am a newbie to this and my friend doesn't know anything about DD-WRT (so I'm a little suspicious). This unit seems to work fine but I can't tell if the Upgrade firmware was installed.
Here is the info from the system status screen:
Router Model: Dlink-DIR-632A
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (01/24/13) std - build 20548
Kernel Version: Linux 3.5.7-svn20542 #4406 Thu Jan 24 07:05:52 CET 2013 mips
The DD-WRT installation instructions for this model consists of 2 options:
1) Out-of-the-box factory r20548
2) upgrade with new DD-WRT firmware (dir632a-firmware r19342)
I'm guessing the 2nd option was NOT done - but I'm not sure? How do you know? Maybe it's not required. Would it provide more features or make the router opperate more efficiently? There are no release or version history notes (that I can find).
