Hello,
I'm looking for a router supported by DD-WRT that I can use as firewall and VPN server (occasionnaly VPN client connexion, and permanent VPN dedicated link between two places).
Do you know a good/cheap router model for that?
Currently I've a TP-Link TL-WR841N(D), and I plan to buy a second one, to have two identical routers model, and use them as firewall and VPN server.
Do you think it's a stable and secure solution?
I've found the Wiki DD-WRT page about TP-Link TL-WR841nd v8.
Is it an easy model to fash?
Which is the best way to fash it (Web GUI, TFTP, cmd line)?
In this case, there is the files "factory-to-ddwrt.bin" and "tl-wr841nd-webflash.bin".
Can I firstly do a firmware upgrade with "factory-to-ddwrt.bin" under native Web GUI, and after upgrade with "tl-wr841nd-webflash.bin", without doing a "Hard reset or 30/30/30"?
With this router model, will I be able to upgrade to the newer version of DD-WRT?
