This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build. (eg: 26436_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

RT-AC87U
nvram was not erased from r26405
Prev. build 26424

wl1 (5GHz) can't be disabled. If you set wireless network mode as disabled, it keeps broadcasting dd-wrt SSID and open.

(Still no known way to get stealth mode, with leds disabled. An interface setting at Administration would be really nice, as many times it's really needed and wanted to get completely hidden Access Points and Routers)

Won't flash on (my) ASUS RT-AC68U coming from 26424.
Says "successful" but after reboot still on 26424
Verified that the build on the router is still 26424 as the busybox files are from Mon Mar 2 04:11:19 2015

I guess jheide44 is asleep, so I'll post this for him: Smile

**BCM4707/4708/4709 Devices w/ ARM CPUs**

Be advised that Kong announced on his Personal Test Build thread that a reset IS required if coming from BS build 26138 or earlier. (Also, both Kong and BS are working from the main SVN trunk these days.)

Kong Test Build users may want to read up to make an informed decision. Details on the "New Boadcom ARM driver ?" thread, HERE.

Of course the official Peacock recommendation is a NVRAM reset before and after flashing... however, folks resetting from the CLI (via telnet) after flashing are reporting good results

...and for goodness sake do NOT reuse an old config backup!

Thanks devs!

Same on my ASUS RT-AC68U. Finally I used the ASUS Firmware recovery tool to Flash but then the router is in infinite reboot Loop.
Something's wrong with that build... Please fix it.

Exactly same issue ASUS RT-AC68U, even if you're using Asus restoration tool and reset procedure.

NETGEAR R7000

When installed I have version 26426—not 26436. Also the Wireless Physical Interface wl1 [5 GHz/802.11ac] is completely jacked. There is no Optimize Multicast Traffic selection (missing) and any enabling of the Explicit Beamforming or Implicit Beamforming will not take and only defaults to disabled.

R7000 reset: yes
r26436 on the R7000 is having problems. High CPU usage and 3 radios with bogus temperature readings. I can't manually select 5Ghz channel. The flash is 4MB larger than the last build with no obvious explanation as to why.

Then BrainSlayer messed up:-)

Somehow the build must be a build for the R8000 with triple radio support, as it comes with a firmware for the radios which would explain the size difference:-)
