I have a Belkin 750AC router (which is trash , constantly disconnecting.) I've decided to go the DD-WRT route with another router since it's not available for that router. My dilemna is:
I live in an apartment complex in an area where internet access is rare. I have about ~7mbps internet I pay for and would like to share maybe 1.2mbps on a guest network for students to do their homework or someone who wants to simply check their messages.
Which dd-wrt router/firmware combination can handle QoS for a guest network and let me limit bandwidth so people don't just torrent/abuse/video all day? Also VPN is a requirement for devices within my own network. Thanks for any help guys/gals in advance. |
