I have tunnels setup for different subnets, and one of the things I am still lacking is name resolution on the remote ends. Can this be done?

For a temporary attempt, I tried putting the remote site router (192.168.2.1) as the primary DNS, but I still could not resolve remote computer names. It had no problem resolving www.google.com or anything else, and when I did an 'nslookup' at the command prompt, it showed 192.168.2.1 as the server.

Maybe I'm asking for too much here, but it would be great to resolve names across a tunnel.

Thanks, for domain1 and domain2, am I just putting the IP of the remote router?

We aren't using actual domains.

(I just tested and I can do an nslookup on a specific name, and it resolves the IP, but the DNS doesn't work, ie ping or anything)

nslookup works but ping doesn't resolve

For example:
C:\>nslookup homedata
Server: Mohnton
Address: 192.168.2.1

Name: homedata
Address: 192.168.2.151

C:\>ping homedata
Ping request could not find host homedata. Please check the name and try again.

C:\>

if I 'ping homedata.' (using a period after the name), it works.
Now I'm confused.
