dynamic dns using hn.org

Has anyone tried to make the dynamic dns at http://hn.org work with with inadyn / ddwrt? I looked at the examples at http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Dynamic_DNS but they are less complicated than the updates for hn.org API http://hn.org/hnRFC10.txt There needs to be a way to just specify the hostname and password and have it figure out the rest.

Is the limitation inadyn or dd-wrt? At https://github.com/troglobit/inadyn it says that inadyn does support https (at the top of the page).
