It is based on BS's 9134 firmware and I think he is using the new driver set. You would want to check with him but it wouldn't be much of an issue if you wanted me to do one based on eko's 9068 NEWD firmware or other known compatible firmware.
BrainSlayer's generic builds include support for the bcm5354. So as long as you are building with the newest driver I would imagine yours would too.
It is a direct modification of his. I use the firmware modification kit which just extracts all the files out of the squashfs then rebuilds a new one with all of my new files. Therefore the original kernel and all the drivers should remain.
Ok. I was getting all of my modules from the openwrt repositories. They don't seem to have a ufs ipkg available. In addition it is likely that it will make the normal packages over my limit. I am actually going to try eko's latest NEWD build which is against the 9181 source. I'll also see about getting a set of compatible kernel modules for that.
BTW, Are you sure you are wanting UFS support? It doesn't seem right. Are you sure you don't mean FFS?
@shinji257
tried flashing your b4 firmware. used the asus trx one. failed to upload. keep on getting flash failed. guess, i'll just wait for your NEWD version. thanks and keep up the good work!
Which router are you trying to flash on and how much flash space does it have?
If it has 4MB then that may be why it isn't going on. Go back to the first post and I have placed a new note in bold about routers with 4MB of flash may not be able to use the firmware. I'll try to get a mini one going though. Unfortunately it will have to wait until Thursday since I work the next few days and won't have much time to develop the firmware.
Ummm... sure! It would actually be an honor if you could. If you can tell me what I did wrong with the nvramconfig and webconfig files then that would be great as well. BTW, the nvramconfig file attached to the main message would be missing the usb_ohci nvram item now since I added to the 4th build. The webconfig file is missing the toggle. Both will be corrected in a minute.
I'll re-attach the startup file and the other updated items in a few minutes here. Just need to get it off the development site.
OK, np.
Basicaly it will help you develop further, bacause gui should work and all will be in svn.
Ok. The required files are posted up at the main post now.
I should really try to get this build environment working correctly. If you know of a really good way of doing this then that would be great. I plan on concentrating my efforts on the linux.v24_v2 branch.
P.S. - Is it normal for me to get a whole bunch of warnings during the build process?
