Does anyone know if the Asus router (wl-500w) antennas are reverse polarity?

I was thinking about removing the antennas from mine and installing PR-TNC female connectors and running the Linksys 7dbi High-Gain antennas on it.

Any thoughts or opinions on this?

Instead of taking a stranger's word for it, why not just remove one and look?

Because I don't know how to tell.
Do you know how to tell?
If you do, I would be grateful if you would tell me how to tell.

The WL-500W's antennas are not really removable.

But I believe they will push out and I could modify the housing to accept these.

Combining these with the 7dbi linksys antennas I mentioned, I would think I could gain some real range and signal strength. But I'm only supposing here.
That is why I threw it out to the brains of this forum.

You can certainly do that. But....

I'm a bit confused. Of the three pictures on that page, the bottom one is different from the top two. Bottom pic is a standard TNC Female. Top two I don't recognize. However, neither of the three are RP-TNC Female, even tho the text says so.

I have no clue what you would get if you ordered them.

Note that RP-TNC Female has a pin in the center, not a socket.

Not wanting to state the obvious, but if they are not removable they cannot possibly be RP-anything.

Rather than solder on connectors why not buy ready-made pigtails?
