You have 2 routers, neither can connect to PPPoE... that's too much of a coincidence.
It means it's a configuration problem with PPPoE. Exactly how do you try to set up PPPoE ?

I go into WebUI with chrome."Setup">"Wan setup">"wan connection type">select "PPPOE">Fill in the user name of me>Fill in the password of me>I select the function "force connect" . save is a must.
then restart router with DD-WRT "Administrat" "boot".

Ok, so I downgraded to 25974 (last update that had a fix for the WPS/AOSS button) and I still get no WAN connection at all. WAN IP is 0.0.0.0 and it wont get dhcp. I made sure the wan and lan were on completely separate networks (IE 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.2.1) and followed all other suggestions I could find but no dice. I then tried to manually set the WAN IP and this failed as well, under status\wan the traffic for both incoming and outgoing was 0. It looks like the WAN interface isnt coming up correctly on any of the newer builds.

It would appear that I am not the only one recieving this issue, while looking I found a couple of posts regarding it (below). Everyone seems to know what it is but nobody has a resolution.

"In addition to this the WAN/Internet port on the router does not function at all. I first noticed that when trying to get a dhcp lease from my internet provider. Making the router into an AP and bridging the wan port to lan does nothing -- the WAN/Internet port simply does not function."

Errors: WAN interface unable to connect. (DHCP client unable to get address.)"

I was able to get a build from June 2014 to install and work finally. See my post about that here:

Yoder, we know 24461 works but nothing newer. Thats what this article is refering to, they have put out a feature I would like to use but its only in newer builds that shut off the wan port. If possible I seeking a fix/work around for the wan port issue so the new builds can be used.
