i cant find the uclibc library in the /lib/.

some use uclibc some use musl, dont know why

i dont think u can u have to use what its compiled with, ive never seen anyone self compile atheros builds only broadcom, supposedly cause of some proprietary stuff atheros use

you have to grab ath* driver from existing build, because they are closed source. i'm not sure about ath* is musl/uclibc related.

If you are using optware and following the instructions as per this thread: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=177532&start=0 , you should have uclibc installed already.
