Could someone help me to relieve my families fears on DD-WRT in our routers

Does DD-WRT use the NetUSB code?

I just read the same article. It's probably specific to the firmware and driver set on your router.

For example, my ASUS AC68U isn't listed.

Having said that, I'm not an expert on these things. You could drill into your console and see if anything is listening on port 20005.
