I wonder what caused this. The router of the FTP of custom router firmware having routing problems is not the best showcase there could be Very Happy

Assuming the ftp is linux, it might be helpful to rsync(gsync) the beta directory to google drive or another.

Desperately trying to get this flash file: http://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2013/01-24-2013-r20548/tplink_tl-wa901ndv2/tl-wa901nd-webflash.bin

... but for more than 8 hours the link (and the ftp site) are not working.

Any ideas?

Yes all working thanks - managed to download this older version to get the LAN port working on TP Link TL-WA901ND v2 (this is now a several year old work around to get the physical link working after having a heart attack that I had bricked the router - fortunately not the case!)
