This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build (e.g. 27456_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

on ea6500, after reset to default and rebulding, i get these errors:

Router Model: Buffalo WZR-HP-AG300H (actually a wzr-600dhp)
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r27456 (06/27/15) std
Kernel Version: Linux 3.10.81 #5128 Sat Jun 27 01:24:03 CEST 2015 mips

Using the wzr-600dhp as a standard WAN automatic DHCP connected to a cable modem; all is good except:

Unit reports itself as the wrong model number

httpd either never starts or crashes on startup. To get httpd to run after each reboot, I must telnet to the router and execute 'httpd -p 80'

RB mode on 2.4 GHz NOT working. Kills the bridge if create a VAP. Same behavior as the WAP54.
Reboot makes NO difference.
It will briefly show in wireless status It's there -- then it ain't.
Remove VAP and bridge reconnects.
Code:
user.info syslog: bridge added successfully
kern.err kernel: br0: Dropping NETIF_F_UFO since no NETIF_F_HW_CSUM feature.
kern.info kernel: device br0 entered promiscuous mode

user.info syslog: NAS : NAS wan (wl0 interface) successfully started
user.info syslog: nas : NAS daemon successfully stopped

Install [dd-wrt.v24-27456_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-nv64k.bin] over broken RB.
Linux 3.10.81 #8815 Sat Jun 27 08:15:50 CEST 2015 mips
RB working --- enable WPA2 aes on VAP - could only connect after reboot then all good.
No errors with the K3.x
Funny stuff in logs sometimes
Code:
kern.emerg kernel: found nvram
That's nice to know - glad it found it Wink
Repeater Bridge working great on K3.x !!!
GUI reset --
Looks like broadcom did not get the new 'Recursive DNS Resolving' feature I got on the atheros WNDR3700v4.

Restore repeater Bridge from backup -- all worked fine!

Pic of some noticeable differences in K2.6 & K3.x on this box -- other than one works good and the other don't -

Router: Netgear R7000
Firmware: 27456
Status: Not working (bricked)
Reset: No
Errors: router doesn't boot after flashing
Previous: 27360

After flashing only the power led is on (orange).
I tried to flash the stock firmware via TFTP, but I can ping the router for about 10 seconds and then I get a timeout.
I've ordered the USB to serial cable from amazon.
After turning router on I can stop the loading process and start the TFTPD.
Then the firmware was successfully send to the router, but on the router I get a checksum mismatch error:

Startup canceled
CFE> tftpd
Start TFTP server
Reading :: Done. 20754490 bytes read
Checksum mismatch:
Image chksum: 0x3033CD50
Calc chksum: 0xAA53CD4E
Reading ::

I tried to re-download the firmware, and also with older firmware versions. But got same error every time.
I can't de-brick my router. Seems to be finally bricked Sad .

'nvram erase' has de-bricked my router.
Not needed to flash any firmware. DD-WRT start working after erasing nvram and rebooting.

Flashed from ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2015/06-27-2015-r27456/netgear-r7000/netgear-r7000-webflash.bin. Works awesome.

* Guest wireless was flaky until after a reset and reconfigure. Getting guest wireless to work with dual radios broadcasting the same SSID on different channels is still very tricky though. Had to reset to defaults and manually set up the additional bride and dhcp for the guest network.

Firmware is stable however I have been playing with some wireless settings such as changing wifi channels and transmit power both on eth 2 which has caused some reboots when I apply the settings. Also the Wiviz survey does not appear to function properly.
