dnsmasq dhcp stops giving ip addresses after 2-3 days (unpredictable). I reboot to fix.
I want to revert the firmware back to r27396 to try if that will not require reboots. Planning to use the web page to upgrade the firmware. Will that be ok? Or do I need to use the webflash.bin and re-enter config.

its impossible to update a router without rebooting..use webflash to upgrade or downgrade is fine, u do not need to reset settings _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

Upgrade to 27456. Builds between 27396 and 27456 are buggy, don't use those. _________________ THERE ARE NO STRANGERS HERE; ONLY FRIENDS YOU HAVEN'T YET MET.

Thanks! Went ahead and upgraded. Will see in 3 days if reboots will be a thing of the past. I also successfully tested the downgrade process using the webflash.bin.

After a day, the dhcp (dnsmasq I presume) stopped issuing IP's. I tried manually assigning my own IP and was able to connect to the router to reboot it.
I added static IP assignments using dnsmasq options on Service page over a month ago. And noticed the dnsmasq issue so I just removed it recently to try to isolate this potential issue. Re-entered static IP assignments on DHCP Options section of the same Service page. And disabled the dhcp on dnsmasq option in the Setup page. Noticed that Status / LAN page now indicates DHCP is disabled. Not sure if that's true because udhcpd now issues IP instead of dnsmasq - wish that would indicate it correctly.
I have about 24 known devices that I maintain on static IP assignment. I use this method (mad as it is) to identify unknown devices.
It was likely my error to use the dnsmasq options to define the static IP's. It has been over a day now and the router is still behaving properly.
