Which release is best for QoS (WRT54G)

Right now I'm using v24 RC-5 (11/22/07) mini on my wrt54g and using it as a repeater. But this weekend I'm going to move things around and set the Linksys as my main router because I need to implement QoS. I will not be using it as a repeater anymore, I just need to be able to control the traffic that comes through. Essentially I'm going to hook up my other router (some off brand) to my router via ethernet and let everyone connect to that router (albeit at slower speeds). Then I'll use my Linksys for the VoIP phone and for my laptop.

So is there any release that works better than another for QoS? Or should I just go with the latest stable release? Maybe the latest RC?
