It appears to be similar to several other devices already supported, but comes at a great price from a company that is quite open and encouraging to hardware and firmware hacking. They even provide a u-boot interface to make flashing easy:

I just installed ddwrt (firmware for TL-WR710N) on my gl.inet according to the following description: http://www.gl-inet.com/forums/topic/dd-wrt/#post-4770. So far it's working just fine, only the WAN and LAN port are reversed.
