Hello,
i am going to buy WR841N v10 to replace my old WR841ND v8.2 that worked very well as wireless bridge to another WR841ND v8.2, that is my main router ( that is linked to a modem )
I wonder which is the best and more stable build for this purpose for my next WR841N v10
Reading this forum i saw that the initial build was a build for v9 adapted for v10, that should be downloaded from a post in this forum.
But now i see there are specific directories for v10, so i have to download the factory to ddwrt build directly from the directory and install only it, i am right?

Right. Use the link in the previous post.

Check the version number in the admin panel after flashing factory to ddwrt. If it's not r29193 then flash the r29193 file to bring your router to the latest version. (It's a stable version, although I haven't tried the wireless bridge function)

I'm using build 29218 from ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2016/03-07-2016-r29218/tplink_tl-wr841ndv10/

I've been using it as a Wireless Repeater Bridge for the last 2 days. I haven't seen any specific problems yet, but it may be too soon to tell.

I'd suggest watching the "New Build - dd/mm/2016 - r2xxxxx" posts on the "Atheros WiSOC based Hardware" board. This post

I am using V10 of TP-WR841n with ddwrt 29218 from beta download page. I wanted the ftpget and ftpput for the use of ip based traffic moniter but this build busy box does not have these. Would it be possible for someone to build with those two function built in. It would help me. Thanks

Hello! I would like to leave my comment. I'm using 841ndv10 and only stable version would v28112. My usage is very simple, wireless way ap and dhcp disabled. I tested several versions of this current 29264 as several others. All with the same symptoms, very low signal. What remained well was 28112 841nd modified for v10. so is my observation. many, many faithful months of service on all 3 of my wr841 routers (v9& 8 ), running v27506, auto-rebooting nightly @ 4am.

haven't logged into our main router at home in months.

openwrt flashed yesterday and have 72% signal 20dbm and DDWRT 21dbm only max 45% speed max 23 mbps and openwrt brutal 34mbps !!!!

Sorry but that continues while at openwrt with gui luci

i tried to flash the latest beta releases but each time the router bricks. 29218 works fine. Anything wrong?

I installed 29218 for a friend, but the connection goes offline after a while (anything from hours to 6-7 days). I'm going to check later today what's up. It could also be the bridged 4G modem.

check thread name, v10 Wink

turns out dd-wrt works fine.. 4g modem had APN disconnected
