Please make dd-wrt work on this router. If somebody bought it recently, they get this v2.0 version instead of the dd-wrt supported v1.2. (I bought this partly because of dd-wrt support. ) It has two antennas, instead of three, and (they write it somewhere in this forum, that) it has Broadcom chipset, instead of Qualcomm Atheros. Apart from this, it is the very same model. Thank you in advance!
Of course! The same exact router except for a different cpu, radios and different number of antenna.
My Honda Civic is the exact same thing as a Honda Accord coupe. Except, different engines and 2 extra doors.

Instead of bashing the OP, why not straight up simply deny his claim instead of toying with his reasoning and follow up with why they arent the same. Makes you look like less of a jackass.
@hex - Someone would need to donate an archer c5 v2 to a dev so they can compile a build for it, since it does contain different hardware. _________________ LATEST DD-WRT FW IS LOCATED HERE: https://dd-wrt.com/support/other-downloads/?path=betas%2F
It wasn't bashing I thought it was funny. His own posts says they are different but then he says they are the same model.
Sorry I find that kind of logic funny.
Glad you straightened him/her out.
I guess you aren't a jackass like me. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.
Well, I meant, that it has two USB2.0 port, four 1000BASE-T LAN ports, and one 1000BASE-T WAN port, plus the same buttons and LEDs (and the design ). But you are right, what really matters here is the chipset, antennas, etc. Anyway, @MDA400 is right too. I hope, someone will do it soon, I cannot afford it.

Please add me to the list of people who would love to see this router supported. It's being sold at a significant discount in Canada right now ($69.99 at Best Buy), so I expect there will be numerous people interested in this router.
You guys need to send funds to one of the devs here so they can go out and buy it. But don't bother shipping the router to them or it might get sent back by German border customs.
Hi all.
long time dd-wrt user, new to this forum so send me in the right direction if i'm in the wrong place
i also would like to see this device supported so i will do what i can to help. and my first move is to collect as much info about the device as possible, i didn't want to spam the forum with a new topic so i'll post here.
currently i'm using this device as my gateway but i could not wait with hooking up a serial connection, on monday i get a new device to use as gateway and will provide images and what else should be needed, if wanted
the info i have collected so far is available here at my onedrive account
EDIT: 11-01-2016
the device has the following chips.
CHIP : BCM4708 1A0 KFEBG
WIFI Chip : BCM4352 2x2 A/B/G/N+AC (boot log says BCM4360, but on bord is BCM4352)
WIFI Chip : BCM43217 2x2 B/G/N
yep, but like "Gameman Advanced Kid" said we need to donate one to a developer first, but looking at the forum only like 4 people has shown interest in the device..
