I need to add more ports to my R7000. What's the best way to do this? I'm assuming a Gigabit ethernet Switch?

I've been watching this:

http://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-ProSAFE-GS308-8-Port-Gigabit/dp/B00KFD0SEA/ref=cm_wl_huc_item

Anything else besides the obvious I need to consider?

Thanks,

I ended up buying a large enough switch for everything in the house including 2 other switches to plug into it instead of the router.

Now the router is a passthrough to the net and the house network isn't interrupted when I reboot the router. Works well.

Gotta agree with ddaniel51 a dedicated switch is a convenient way to go. network stays up no matter how much tinkering with router you do. personally I would go with a managed switch as vlan management can be useful. Something like http://www.bestbuy.com/site/d-link-d-link-pf9840-b-easysmart-8-port-managed-gigabit-switch-dgs-1100-08-multicolor/1305441543.p?id=mp1305441543&skuId=1305441543

I also use the GS-108Tv2. It's a little more expensive but is wall mountable and you can use SNMP. Also like the full metal construction

I use a Cisco SG300-20 business class 20 port managed switch with 2 remote switches plugged into it. A little more expensive for a lot less aggravation.
