This thread is intended for the discussion of DD-WRT support for TP-Link TL-WA901ND v4.
Specs of v4 hardware:
CPU Atheros TP9343 (QCA9561 variant) 750MHz
RAM 32MB
Flash 4MB
I've modified the header of the DD-WRT 29739 factory-to-ddwrt build intended for TL-WR941ND v6, so it will flash on a TL-WA901ND v4 running stock TP-Link firmware.
If the attached build works for you, it can be further updated with any newer-than-29739 webflash build for TL-WR941ND v6.
Note: The older modified build 28211 that I sent to user softjad (discussed in some of the following posts) was based on WA901ND v3, but wasn't working properly and you should not use that one !
Disclaimer: I haven't tested the attached build myself, so I'm not responsible in any way if you brick your router.
Please only flash this build if you know how to unbrick it.
You must be logged in to be able to download the attachment. _________________ THERE ARE NO STRANGERS HERE; ONLY FRIENDS YOU HAVEN'T YET MET.

where could I find/get the modified firmware? I don't need the WAN/LAN port, just wireless. I would be very thankful, currently I have to restart this repeater a few times a day with the stock firmware.
a client bought 8 of this crappy devices to give wifi in 8 houses in a complex... original firmware does not allow routing, so all 8 devices are bridging and broadcast storms are a common thing...
having ddwrt to route the interfaces will be the salvation!!!!!!!
thanks in advance, for developing the best router software on earth (yeah, cisco ios sucks )
Tested today a v3 mod that user KrypteX send to me, and everything works fine, except for the ethernet port.
if you set up as DHCP, interface never comes up.
If you set up Static IP, interface comes up in software, front ethernet light comes on, but no data is sent or received over the interface, so, ruting doesn't work.
another thing is wifi works well, but wifi frontlight not lit.
only light on is power, and ethernet if you set static ip.
EDIT 2: Can't get the ethernet port to work with build 29739. Waiting for next test build which adds additional support for QCA956x/TP9343. Will report back after testing.
Just got around to trying build 29739 that was based on TL-WR941ND v6:
Error code: 18005
Upgrade unsuccessfully because the version of the upgraded file was incorrect. Please check the file name.
EDIT 1: I'm using US-based hardware. KrypteX updated the header -- check first post!

Ethernet is broken on WR941NDv6 / WR940Nv3, causing the same issue for the modified WA901NDv4 build I made in the first post.
