DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) / revision 21061

I am trying to get this working with Private Internet Access - VPN and
I am having no luck, I can't get the exact instructions for this build
(it is mini I assume) and instructions don't cover this

Any help ?

I couldn't make it work on old linksys e1000. PIA's instructions didn't work for older builds and tomato instructions did not apply. No help here.

Router model/version and build type (kernel version and micro/mini/mega/etc) would help...in lieu of that; trying a newer version might help, maybe 28211 for now.
