Also I do not recommend ever use any of the factory to ddwrt builds from any of the dd-wrt public beta files...just don't.

Thank you for your explanations. Can you develop this last chapter because the translation is ambiguous :p

OK. I will look painful Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes but why these three different files? Is it only for the first flash? After, I upgrade with another more recent or is that all?

PS : Are the translations comprehensible? Very Happy

Factory-to-ddwrt is for the first flash. After that use the .bin file for upgrades.

Ok so in conclusion:
1 - http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-IPQ806X/EA8500WW-factory-to-ddwrt.img (ww for fw europe) => flash with gui factory linksys
2 - http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-IPQ806X/ddwrt-Linksys-EA8500.bin => flash with gui dd-wrt
3 - The flashes are finished, all that remains is the setting of the parameters of my router

If you want Linksys firmware to remain on one of the partitions don't flash it the second time with the .bin file.

Run BS_r31101(01/07/17) for 2 days, 17:02 no problems.
Now running
DD-WRT v3.0-r31120M kongat (01/10/17)
Linux 3.18.46 #8 SMP PREEMPT Tue Jan 10 23:59:32 CET 2017 armv7l
No problems I can see so far, admittedly I am not close by.
The ea8500 is main router holding WAN but I have another
router within network running openVPN server so install done with droid turbo phone via public WiFi thru VPN tun.
I probably would not do an untested BS build this way.

This looks to be a good Kong build.
Great way to start the day -- ah and now it's breakfast time.

Seems to be working well. Still am not back to the homeworld for close look ...and..SSH on mobile devices really sucks
so I'm not even doing that. Just pulling off webif command pg.
Thanks for the kernel bump but WTH is this odd naming of MTD parts?

Hi guys,

With the Kong build, are there all the necessary packages for wifi hotspots, firewall and syslog?

Thank you

Newbie one day, newbie always! Razz

In the Linksys interface, you need the difference between restoring a parameter file and updating the microcontroller ...
