Repeater Bridge Mode?

I want to use Repeater Bridge on my DD-WRT, but I'm having issues. The 2nd router (the repeater bridge router) can connect to the primary router just fine.

The issue is adding virtual Interfaces. After giving it a different SSID, I can't connect to that virtual interface.

What is the purpose of a virtual interface anyways?

you should read the announcements at the top of the page including the peacock thread and the wiki on linking routers. you would find help there including the requirement of using wpa2 with aes setting for your wireless security. pointing that out as the youtube video didn't
