I downloaded the firmware from the dd-wrt site and follow the directions. My putty window disconnected with "failed" in some of the output.

I can scan and see the UAP at 192.168.1.20 but it is inaccessible. Any ideas on how to get back to the device and or login to it?

I was able to tftp it back to the Ubiquiti firmware but I would like to have dd-wrt on it. Any ideas why it would not work?

Do the following...

Copy The files UAP-DD-WRT.bin and UniFiAP-webflash-firmware.bin to C:\ (these files are located at DD-WRT download database)
Set Static to your PC NIC Card 192.168.1.10
Enter DOS mode from Windows Machine, and prepare this line tftp.exe -i 192.168.1.20 PUT c:\UAP-DD-WRT.bin but don't hit enter yet.
Put UNIFI-AP into recovery mode --> Unplug Patch Cord press and hold the reset button while reconnecting Patch Cable you will see after 20 seconds or so that the AP will start to blink Orange and Green, the AP is NOW in recovery mode. Now hit enter on your DOS Console screen. You might have to do this quickly as it may stall. So just repeat until you get the below message. When you are successful your AP should start blinking different colors rapidly and then it will reboot. When it comes back online you should have a solid and steady green light.

The unit will reboot itself after 5 minutes (you should see a solid green light when complete) when it reboots you can try accessing it's web gui.

Now you can type 192.168.1.1 in URL of browser and DDWRT is now installed

You can install the second firmware called UniFiAP-webflash-firmware.bin. Just use the web upgrade in Administration
