Well... i can deal with the led error with no problem . its just the fact that the wire connection is defective that create me problem right now . if some one could fix it that will be very appreciate . if needed i can install my own router on a dedicated public ip for testing if that can help you to troubleshoot.
Flashed my wr940n v3 with r30342 from:
http://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2016/07-30-2016-r30342/
Like others I could only connect using wifi. I set up ssh and connected with putty. ifconfig only shows one network device eth0. swconfig list shows nothing. I tried ifconfig eth1 up - nothing. I then realised that eth0 - supposedly the wan port was actually working on the 4 port switch. Connecting any of the 4 ports to my lan resulted in it leasing a wan ip address from my lan dhcp server.
Anyone throw any light on this?
i get exactly the same issu the 4 lan port get use as wan and no lan card get detected . am still waiting for someone to reply me since the first time the case get close for lake of info. please help me to push if you can

Same issue here, using the TP-Link TL-WR940n and most current beta software.
I've found a guide to re-configure the ports for WAN and LAN in dd-wrt (http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/VLAN_Bridging_WAN_and_a_LAN_port), but have not been successful by now.
Is there gonna be a fix for this soon? Will it at least work even without LAN ports as a router? Just got the 940n v3 the other day thinking itd work rip
