Haven't seen much official, or even unofficial info on this router. I just picked one up and have had issues with it dropping wifi, but had doubts as to it being a hardware issue. It was being extremely problematic today, so I decided to bite the bullet and attempt a ddwrt install. I installed v24-RC6 generic mini, and so far so good. It's detecting it as a WRT300N, however everything seems to function so far.
So, it would seem it's compatible, however as far as I know, I'm the first person that's attempted this. What do you guys need from me in order to make this officially supported? Any way I can help, I'd be more than happy to.

hi Eko, i also managed to get dd-wrt.v24R6.2_mini_generic.bin working on my wrt160n, i was wondering what would dd-wrt.v24-9326_NEWD_nokaid.bin add or fix ?

by the way i have a problem with the channel setting, i set it to 9 and it shows 9 in the wireless setting, but the status page shows 1 and my client are on 1.
I kind of need it because i will setup 4 of those on the same network and i need them to be all on hte same channel.l
Any idea how to fix this ? is it due to the wrt160n not been fully supported ?
I have a 150N and the following process fixes the channel 1 deal on it...give it a try:
Quote:
set the router to N-Only mode, apply settings, change to 20MHz mode apply settings, then change the channel, then apply settings again, and after that you can set it back to the way you want it and channel selection will continue to work from there on.
