WNDR3700 V4
DD-WRT v3.0-r29519 std (04/25/16)

DD-WRT v3.0-r29495 std (04/21/16)
Linux 3.18.31 #11193 Thu Apr 21 03:48:22 CEST 2016 mips
I did a button reset before & GUI reset after install just goofin around.
Used 'nvrambak.bin' from 29495. All went well but for cloned WAN MAC -- it rarely ever gets
carried over from different builds - but works sometimes on same build/same router
Main Router
DHCP WAN
WAN MAC clone
recursive DNS
forced DNS redirection
DNSmasq DNS
29 static leases
local DNS
no DNS rebind
2.4 NG-Mixed HT40 (5 lower)
5 GHz N-Only HT40 (149 upper)
restricted guests setup as br1 on ath0.1
7 sets in port range forwarding
VPN passthru
QOS on 20/20 connection set 18328/18128 w/17 entries in Services Priority
telnet
SSH local & remote
Limit SSH Access & Limit Telnet in Security
Working Veddy Well
No errors - Seems to be a good build
I've never ever had that problem on any build .. ..well not any build where unbound half-ass worked anyways.
What type WAN connection do you have?
Is NTP set and working?
Might be a router specific problem ¿?
My settings shown in previous post.
I do have openDNS servers set for DNS on main setup page but AFAIK they do
absolutely nothing while Recursive DNS is running.
You can always check that unbound is working by looking at https://ipleak.net/
The 'DNS Address Detection' will show as your own (and only your own) IP if it's working.
If using any other DNS servers they will likely show half dozen IPs.

Main home router. Both 2.4 and 5Ghz work ok.
I've been reporting inconsistent results since build 29218 when running speed and bufferbloat tests while connected to 5Ghz.
This seems to have been resolved at least in this build (skipped 29440 and 29495). _________________ Buffalo WZR‑600DHP (WZR-HP-AG300H)

Had problems with prior 4/21 release with IPv6. This release seems to have fixed IPv6 issues.

Hi mrjcd,
thanks for your input! I would assume that opendns provides first access to root servers for recursive DNS to work.
Anyway, some time ago I checked name resolution for poisoning with recursive enabled and it was working fine (if I remember right, with a link you provided)....
So in summary unbound is working fine until I power off the router and restart. I will ask billa09 for a test to minimize machine specific issues. _________________ IT Crowd - Have You Tried Turning It Off And On Again?

web GUI won't flash up to either r29495 or r29519. When trying to flash it will say succeeded after just a few seconds (too short), and it will reboot and still be on r29440.
