The last version of DD-WRT: R30016 Archer C7 V2.0 IL .
The file: 11,9 GB (12 881 035 652 bytes)
Time of copying process: 6m 44sec. = 404 sec.
Speed of transfer is 30,40671502481593 MB/sec (1 MB = 1024*1024 bytes)

Did you use a lan speedtest to view the exact speed?

I used the stopper and 2 computers with 1Gb LAN connections. The big file give the ability to see real world speed of transfer. Without tricks. If it interesting, the write was on new Sandisk SSD Ultra II.

The write speed on general hard disk is more than 100MB/sec. The speed about 30MB/sec is less than 1/3 of it's speed only. The SSD is faster for not very big transfers.

I played around with the settings on both lan cards I was able to transfer a 5gb file between computers now faster.

Also used Lan Speed Test (Lite) to check the speeds with it and it came out the same around 64MB/s now, but it used a 9gb transfer so it's safe to say that's around max atm.

Write Time = 139.4127495 Seconds
Write Speed = 516.4520480 Mbps
Read Time = 113.7546715 Seconds
Read Speed = 632.9410400 Mbps

I have a feeling the Archer C7 is bottle necking the GB cards to a 100MB connection instead of 1000

After enabling Jumbo frames Flow control where it was disabled, adding transfer buffers and disabling any "green ethernet" I got 6m26sec. It a little better, but not make sense.

Here is my settings on both computers to get the speeds I was getting.

ARP Offload: Enable
Flow Control: Enable
Interrupt Moderation: Enable
IPv4 Checksum Offload: Rx & Tx Enabled
Jumbo Frames: Disabled
Large Send Offload v2 (Ipv4) & (Ipv6): Disabled
NS Offload: Enabled
Priority & VLAN: Enabled
Receive Buffers: 512
Speed & Duplex: 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex
TCP Checksum Offload (IPv4) & (IPv6): Rx & Tx Enabled
Transmit Buffers: 128
UDP Checksum Offload (IPv4) & (IPv6): Rx & Tx Enabled

Other settings I tried:

Downloaded TCP Optimizer V4 and used optimized settings.

http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php

With everything I tried I get 64MB/sec and some bursts up to 87MB/sec.

I'm not sure what the true max speed of LAN gigabit is, but I feel like it's still falling into the range of 100MB/s Full duplex instead of 1000MB/s Full duplex.

Not all drivers of LAN adapters have the same abilities for tuning. Intel, Atheros, Realtek, NVidia and others - all have different parameters.

Just notice that MB/s (Megabytes per second) is different than Mbps (Megabits per second).

A 100Mbps Ethernet usual transfer speeds are about ~8-9MB/s.

A 1000Mbps (Gigabit) usual transfer speeds are about ~80-90MB/s.

You are saying that you are getting 64MB/sec to 87MB/sec. If these are in fact MB (Megabytes per second), than definitively you are getting Gigabit speeds.

After applying "the optimizer" settings the file was copied with record time: 7 min 56.29 sec. As expected.

Your correct. I was confused about this because I thought the port was a gigabyte port, but is in fact a gigabit port. A gigabyte is 1000 megabytes so I thought it should be a higher number in MB/s transfer.

After "optimizer" settings none was help me to restore old speed. Only removed driver of LAN and installation was successful and I got time of file copying 4 m. 58.36 sec with speed sometimes about 78 MB/sec.

Sry about that the optimizer was just something I was trying I wasn't sure if it was going to improve anything. Good to see after a driver reinstall you managed to get a better transfer time.
